555 E Street is a new 12-story mixed-use building in Southwest Washington, DC that extends a full block. Retail and lobby spaces on the ground floor fill the full site, while above, a U-shaped floorplate contains a combination of hotel and residential uses. The building includes below-grade parking and amenities, such as central courtyards, shared by the hotel and residences on the second floor. The addition of this building will leverage the site’s adjacency to the National Mall, activate street life, and add program diversity to the predominantly corporate neighborhood.
